RC vs. Venom Injectors

The only concrete fact I've found concerning which of these injectors to go with is statements by both companies that you should stick with the injector style (pintle vs. disc) your ECU expects.

Add to this the fact that many of us are using RC injectors with no problems and I end up confused.

However, if you go to www.thepartstrader.com and look for injectors for sale, the only ones you'll find are RC injectors. No Venoms.

Is this an indication that people are less satisfied with the RC's?

Or does it just mean that there are a lot more RC's out there than Venom's?

I don't know. Do any of you know?

I'm not sure... I would think there are more RC's out there... but that's just from reading msgs from people...

Putting the issues of running super high pressure through either of those types of injectors, the only issue i've heard of with the RC's is the rough idle with the BIG ones, > 400cc (for exmaple)...

I run 550cc venoms and have no problems... mind you i dont run high pressure... my pressure stays between 35 and 45 psi always....

RC injectors are disc style while Venom are pintle injectors. Hondas come with pintle injectors as do most cars. Disc style injectors are the same type used in professional race cars but that doesn't mean it's ideal for your street car. Race cars are constantly running at WOT and at high RPM. Disc injectors will perform well at high fuel pressures.

Pintle injectors should idle better and give you overall better operation. Disc style injectors will not perform as well while idling and closed loop opeation. I plan on using Venom's in my car. The flow pattern is supposed to be pretty good while an RC injector flow looks more like a garden hose.

One of the reasons you do not see the Venom Injectors, and do see the RC's, is that RC has been around a lot longer. Venom is the new kid on the block. RC has an outstanding reputation, for what that is worth.

I thought Lundgren or someone had the Venom injectors, and was not very impressed with what he got.

RC has excellent customer service. I bought a set of 720 disc style injectors awhile back and one of the injectors went bad. they had me send them in and since they werent making 720s in disc style anymore they replaced all four of my injectors with pintle style. I only had to pay for one injector $168 and on top of that they took cared of my problem in a very timely manner. That is what I call good customer service.
